The hype surrounding Grand Theft Auto VI continues to grow as new rumors suggest pre-orders for the highly anticipated title could officially begin within days.
According to multiple reports circulating online, a leaked affiliate email allegedly sent by retailer Best Buy points to a possible pre-order launch window between May 18 and May 21. The email reportedly referenced a promotional campaign tied to physical copies of GTA 6, fueling speculation that Rockstar Games may be preparing a major announcement soon.
The rumor quickly exploded across social media platforms and gaming communities, with fans connecting the timing to Take-Two Interactive’s upcoming earnings call scheduled for May 21. Some believe Rockstar could release a third trailer or officially open pre-orders ahead of the investor presentation.
While several outlets claim the leaked email appears legitimate, others are urging caution. Industry insider Tom Henderson reportedly stated he has not heard confirmation of any immediate GTA 6 marketing push, suggesting fans should wait for official word from Rockstar before treating the leak as fact.
Rumors surrounding pricing have also started to surface. Some overseas retailers have reportedly listed placeholder prices nearing $100 USD, sparking debate over whether GTA 6 could become one of the first major titles to break the traditional $70 price point for standard editions. However, no official pricing has been confirmed by Rockstar or Take-Two.
At the moment, Rockstar Games has only officially confirmed that GTA 6 is scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Until Rockstar makes an announcement, fans are left doing what they’ve been doing for months — watching every rumor, retailer listing, and social media post for clues about one of the biggest game launches in entertainment history.
